The oil company will be host a town hall meeting Tuesday evening to explain the results of its study.

Company spokeswoman Tracy Harlow said the first 250 jobs will be moved this year to either Houston or Bartlesville.

About 70 positions will be relocated to Bartlesville, Harlow said.

The positions moving first include jobs in technical services, research and development, engineering and support, human resources and Internet technology, among others.

By 2012, the onetime home of Conoco Inc. could no longer have a company non-refining presence other than the Conoco museum. The nearly 750 refinery positions will remain in Ponca City.

ConocoPhillips announced last month that it would cut about 1,300 jobs around the world, or about 4 percent of its global work force.
