Warm Temperatures Now ... But Not For Long

Posted: Updated:

From News9 Meteorologist Stephanie Malone...

Stepping outside this afternoon was a little chilly, but temperatures will warm up as we head towards the weekend.  Wednesday and Thursday lows will be in the low to mid 30s, with highs climbing into the 60s close to 70.  Even though it will feel really great outside, make sure to keep in mind that fire danger will be a threat.

Sadly, for the weekend arctic air will return to Oklahoma.  A cold front will come through Friday, knocking temperatures down over 20 degrees.  Highs will be in the 40s Friday through Sunday under partly cloudy skies.

Beginning the new week off, there will be a slight chance for a winter mix Monday and Tuesday, with highs only getting into the 30s.
