OKLAHOMA CITY -- A non-profit organization, run entirely by a couple from inside their home, bring Christmas to families every year who might not experience the holiday without a little help.

It's a year long effort for ‘Christmas Cheer' that comes down to two hours, or as they like to call it their 'favorite two hours of the year.'

Inside Laura and Scott Lane's home it's busy. They are finalizing efforts to get Christmas bags filled with toys to children in desperate need.

"It's kind of taken over my house, my family and my year, but we love every minute of it," Laura Lane said.

Packed up and ready to go, several families will hand deliver the presents to the needy children. As for the Lanes, their first stop was the Holloway family.

Iris Holloway has fallen on hard times, not only has she lost her job, but earlier this year she was diagnosed with bone cancer.

"This helps my family tremendously. People will never know how much this really means," Holloway said.

The Lane family's next stop showed just how desperate times are for many families they try to help. They can't deliver gifts to the children because the home is vacant and the house condemned, conditions they get used to seeing, but also it's what pushes them to continue their work.

"This is what motivates us to keep doing it, keep brightening the children and make sure they have Christmas," Lane said.

Christmas Cheer delivers to 50 to 60 families, which also includes delivering food for the families and gifts for the parents. If you would like to help Christmas Cheer, visit their Web site or call Scott Lane at 436-3548.
