OKLAHOMA CITY -- An Oklahoma hero and World War II veteran celebrated his 90th birthday.
Bert Collier was honored by his family and friends and reminisced about his time spent serving the country as a paratrooper.
Collier survived the 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor and was immediately drafted into the military.
He eventually trained to become a paratrooper, and jumped for the first time during the infamous D-Day attack in Normandy.
Collier was awarded a purple heart and a bronze star in recognition of his dedication and heroism.
