Where has the time gone?

Posted: Updated:

Ummm hello can anyone tell me where the time has gone?  It seems like we were just being told we were accepted to be a part of the Metro Fitness Challenge last week.  Well with that being said, we are starting our last two full weeks of this challenge (two weeks and roughly two or three days). It has gone way to fast and that brings me to what I want to talk about this week.  With not much time left on the clock, I have really begun to ask myself some questions.  Have I done enough to change my life forever?  Have I changed my eating habits enough to not wander down the bad food habits path after I finish the competition?  When the cameras are off and I only have myself to be accountable too can I do it?

I WANT TO!!!  I don't ever want to be 364 lbs ever again, but it's a pretty daunting task to look at when I have had the bad habits all my life and now I am trying to change them in three months.  But let me tell you this, I am not giving up, I am not giving in, I will take all that I have learned during this time and I will make it stick!  I pledge to myself and to my wife we will be healthy and when we are granted the privilege to have children, I will make sure that they have a healthier and active life, than I have had so far.  I feel great and I am down 23 lbs, I have set the goal to continue my weight loss and reach 100 lbs lost by December 25, 2008.

Christyn and I are walking this weekend in the March of Dimes, "March for Babies" It's a 5.5 mile walk that takes place downtown.  We are excited to see how we do this year, this will be our second time walking in this event and last year we were crawling by to the finish line LOL!  Some how I don't think that will be happening this year.

Well we are weighing in tomorrow morning so we will see what this week's workouts did for us.  I increased my workouts this week exponentially and even though I'm tired I still feel good, still feel like I have enough energy to do yard work afterwards or something to that affect.  Well stay tuned to Wednesdays update and look forward to talking to you two more times.  Stay healthy!!!!
