A new exhibit is giving the public a glimpse of what it was like for news crews to cover the Oklahoma City bombing.

Nearly 13 years after the Oklahoma City federal building bombing, a new exhibit tells the story of the news crews that were covering the act of terrorism in their hometown.

Jean Robinson and her husband John are from Kansas and wanted to see the exhibit firsthand.

"When it comes to the act of terrorism, the miles don't count," she said. "It's so close."

Peggy Cates of Medford, Okla. brought her 8-year-old son, Will, to the exhibit. She said she hopes it will help him understand how and why the world has changed.

"I was trying to explain to him what terrorism is and why that's what he wants to understand is why people do this," Cates said.

The memorial plans to mark the 13th anniversary of the bombing Saturday with a day remembrance and resilience including one second of silence for each of the 168 people who died
