With sticker shock at the pump and prices expected to hit $4 a gallon, some drivers are getting rid of their cars and resorting to other ways to get around town.

At Atomic Brown Scooter Shop, they're seeing a soar in scooter sales.

"It's been extremely busy since the weather started to get real nice and gas prices going up," Owner Pam Hudson said.

When compared to driving an SUV, riding a scooter could save commuters $40 a week.

Chris Davis uses his scooter to go to work and uses about one gallon a week.

With summer coming soon, drivers like Jay Newport are saying so long to their gas guzzlers.

"I figure I'll be able to save enough commuting in one of these to make a payment on something I guess," Newport said.

These scooters range from $800 to about $6,000 a piece.  In Oklahoma you are required to have a motorcycle license to drive a scooter.
