11-year-old boy charged with arson

An 11-year-old boy was charged with arson on Wednesday for allegedly burning down a vacant school building in Chickasha, said police.

Police said the boy admitted to burning trash behind the old school building on January 27 when the school caught on fire. The boy will probably not be placed in juvenile detention facility, said police.

Fire officials said it will cost around $2.5 million dollars to clean up the what is left from the fire.
