Oklahoma Highway Patrol Troopers closed a portion of I-44 eastbound on the Will Rogers Turnpike on Friday morning due to a semi fire.

OHP Troopers said that the driver of the semi noticed that his vehicle was on fire and pulled over to try and separate the truck from the trailer. Troopers say the fire was caused by overheated breaks.

According to troopers, the outside lane is currently closed at mile marker 260 in Rogers County while crews work to clear the scene.

OHP said nobody was injured in the fire.
