Day 2 of Oklahoma's historic October winter storm, and the story is mostly about downed trees, power lines and more than 200,000 power outages across the state.
As of 1 p.m. Tuesday more than 287,000 Oklahomans were without power. That includes 209,000-plus OG&E customers without power, according to the utility's System Watch application. Another 68,000-plus electric cooperative members are without power as of Tuesday afternoon. And more than 10,000 PSO customers were without electricity as well.

Road conditions were dangerous to slick-in-spots across Oklahoma (click here for interactive map). Folks who live in northwest Oklahoma have it worse than those in central parts of the state, but a band of heavy, freezing rain is likely to make roads extra slipped Tuesday afternoon in the Oklahoma City metro. The one saving grace is a possibility that temperatures will go beyond 32 degrees Tuesday afternoon.
Another casualty of this rare October ice storm are the state's trees, most of which still had leaves before the weight of icy rain brought many of them down. News 9 viewers in Norman, Oklahoma City and Edmond shared photos with us Tuesday, and News 9's Ashley Holden talked to Kari Watkins with the Oklahoma National Memorial & Museum about damage done to the famous Survivor Tree, planted after the deadly terrorist attack on Oklahoma City in 1995.
