Man Robbed On His Front Porch, Tulsa Police Say

Police are looking for the man who followed a victim home, hit him on the head then robbed him as he was about to enter his front door.

Officers searched a nearby park for the robber but didn't find him.

Police say it happened at about 4:15 a.m. They say the victim heard footsteps behind him.

The victim told police the robber rushed out of the shadows, hit him on the head with a gun. Police say the victim lost his cell phone, keys and wallet in the robbery. The robber then ran off.

Officers are not ready to connect this incident to other robberies that happened early Monday at a Tulsa apartment complex.

Police say the victim did not go to the hospital for his injuries.
