OKLAHOMA CITY - A fire destroyed a home Friday morning in far southeast Oklahoma City, firefighters said.

The fire was reported about 9:40 a.m. in the 7400 block of Plains Avenue near Interstate 40 and Choctaw Road.

The single-story home was a fully-involved fire and firefighters had to attack the fire from the outside of the home. Firefighters from Newalla were assisting.

Due to no fire hydrants in the area, firefighters had to use tankers to bring water in the area.

All occupants were able get out of the home at the time of the fire.
