Family, Community Honors Fallen Deputy On 1 Year Anniversary

Posted: Updated:
LOGAN COUNTY, Oklahoma -

Wednesday was the one-year anniversary of the gunshot murder of Logan County Sheriff’s Deputy David Wade.

Members of Wade’s enormous family and members of the Logan County Law Enforcement community met at Deputy Wade’s grave in Guthrie for a balloon launch.  David Wade was attempting to serve an eviction notice last April 18th, when he was shot seven times by Nathan LaForce.

"To see everybody out here showing support standing together as a family... that he was not forgotten...he's always going to be with us," said Wade's friend Jason Tauer.

Court proceedings have already begun for Nathan LaForce’s future Death Penalty Trial.
