Pesto Pull Apart Straws

  • 1 can crescent rolls
  • 2 tablespoon pesto
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, shredded
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Favorite spaghetti sauce
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Open the crescent roll package and separate the dough in half.
  4. Unroll one half of the crescent roll dough in the center of the baking pan.
  5. Lightly roll out the dough.
  6. Spread the pesto onto the dough and then sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  7. Place the other 1/2 of the crescent dough on top of the pesto coated sheet.
  8. Cut slits 1 inch apart down the side of the dough.
  9. Make sure not to cut all the way to the center.
  10. Continue down the other side lining up the cuts with the other side.
  11. Twist each strip.
  12. Brush with a beaten egg and bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  13. Serve with your favorite pasta sauce.
