Simple Bread Sticks

  • 1 tablespoon yeast
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder & herb seasoning
  • Grated Parmesan cheese
  1. Combine the yeast sugar and warm water in a plastic bowl and allow that to sit five minutes. You will see that the yeast has come alive with the foam on top, now you know it's ready to make bread.
  2. In a large bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment mix together the yeast and water mixture along with one cup of flour.
  3. Continue to mix on low until combined and then continue adding the rest of the flour until a ball forms.
  4. Place the ball on a parchment lined baking sheet that has half of the melted butter poured onto it.
  5. Allow the devil to rest for 10 minutes and then press the Dell out onto the pan until it comes to the edges.
  6. Brush with additional butter and garlic seasoning's.
  7. Sprinkle with sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  8. Using a pizza cutter cut out long sticks lengthwise in the dough.
  9. Bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes or until golden.
  10. Serve warm!
