Two brazen suspects rob a metro food truck at gunpoint, not once but twice. Police said the incidents were only days apart and possibly involved the same suspects.

The Taqueria el Rincon in the 400 block of west Britton Road was robbed last Thursday and again late Sunday evening. Owner Carlos Reynaga and two employees were closing down from a busy day when the robbers walked into the truck, both carrying pistols.

“They came in and put a gun to my head and told me to get out of the way,” said Reynaga. “But we didn’t understand what they were saying so we just kind of stood there not knowing what to do.”

He said the suspects were black and wearing all black clothes and black masks. One of the suspects pulled the surveillance camera down.

“They crushed it with his arm, ripped it off,” said Reynaga.

They also stole cash and the victims' phones. Reynaga said there was a hidden phone in the truck and that’s how the victims were able to call 911.

The suspects fled on foot and climbed over a fence just south of the food truck.

Police said there may be fingerprints left on the camera and investigators are working to recover the video.

Reynaga is thankful everyone survived the frightening experience.

“I just wanted them to take whatever they need and leave,” said Raynaga. “It’s hard to react when someone just pulls a gun to your head. You don’t know how to react to that.”

The suspects stole a total of $950. Police are adding more patrol units in the area to keep an eye on the food truck.
