NORMAN, Oklahoma -

After Joe Mixon punched Amelia Molitor on July 25, 2014, he told police he felt attacked and victimized by Molitor.

In a video recently released, Mixon sat down with Norman Police three days later for an interview with his lawyers. In the interview, Mixon describes his version of what led up to him punching Molitor.

He says a male friend of Molitor's blew cigarette smoke near him. He says he got up to leave and Molitor then "intentionally came in my face and blew (cigarette smoke) in my face." Mixon says he leaned over to former teammate Michiah Quick, who was dismissed from the Sooners for violation of team rules, and said she was "being hella disrepectful by doing that."

He says then his teammates confronted Molitor. She responded by saying, "You ain't never met a b**** like me."

He continues:

"And after that, I guess they got into it then. You know, she was in his face and my teammates got around it. After that, the girl, I guess she got scared or what. She went up inside and she went to talk with the person that I came there with. And I guess she knew him or whatever."

He says Molitor went inside Pickleman's and began talking with his former teammate Dave Smith about how "we were trying to jump her."

Mixon says he then followed Molitor's male friend inside to interrupt Molitor speaking to Smith to say nobody was trying to jump her.

Then, according to Mixon, Molitor's friend spoke to him. Mixon said that friend called him a racial name and Mixon responded with his own derogatory term.

Then, he says, Molitor dropped her purse, got in his face, and pushed him which knocked his glasses off. In the Pickleman's surveillance video, Molitor's purse is slung over her shoulder and Mixon's glasses fall off when he "had jumped at her, like to (tell her) to watch out."

Then Molitor slapped him.

"I was so shocked because she hit me so hard, it felt like a dude hit me."

Then he punched her.
