Nearly three dozen salt and plow trucks are loaded and ready to hit the city streets during Saturday's anticipated winter storm.
Oklahoma City street crews are pre-treating bridges and overpasses Friday to prepare for low temperatures and possible blowing snow.
The City says it has 13,000 tons of salt on hand. If winter precipitation hits, Public Works salt and plow crews will run around the clock in 12-hour shifts until the storm is over and roads are clear.
Oklahoma City has roughly 1,100 miles of snow routes. One truck driver covers about 200 miles per shift.
