Five Jazz players scored in double digits as OKC struggled to space the floor without Victor Oladipo, who sat out for the second consecutive game with a wrist sprain.

Utah wasted no time lighting up the scoreboard by jumping out to a 7-0 lead and really never slowed down. The Jazz led by five points after the first quarter, then led by as many as 19 points in the second quarter behind the sharp shooting of guards Rodney Hood and Shelvin Mack.

Despite trailing by 14 points at intermission, the Thunder opened the second half with a 9-to-1 run to get within six points, but Utah slowly began to pull away.

Utah led by 12 entering the final frame, but the Thunder was in an 18-point hole by the time Westbrook checked back in the game with 8:26 left and his final push wasn’t enough as OKC drops road games to divisional opponents in back-to-back nights.

The Jazz shot 58.3 percent (42-72) from the field compared to the Thunder’s 36.6 percent (30-82), while Utah made 13-of-23 shots from behind the arc.

Enes Kanter scored 19 points in his return to Utah, but Steven Adams was the only other Thunder player in double digits with 10. Along with his game-high 27 points, Westbrook added six rebounds and five assists.

Hood led the Jazz with 25 points while Gordon Hayward was efficient all night and added 17 points of his own. Rudy Gobert was a massive presence in the paint and finished with 12 points, 12 rebounds and three blocks.

The Thunder will be off these next two days before hosting the Suns at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
