An Edmond business has plenty to be thankful for this holiday season. HobbyTown of Edmond, 813 W Danforth Rd., expressed its gratitude on social media this weekend after police helped thwart a burglary.

Edmond police say Saturday morning, three men in hoodies, masks and gloves smashed through a glass window at the front of the business. Officers looked at surveillance tape and noticed a red 1992 GMC Sierra back into a parking spot. Police reports say the three men made repeated trips in and out of the store, loading stolen goods into the truck.

Moments later, and Edmond officer spotted the truck near 1st street and the railroad tracks. Police say it appears the suspects bailed out of the truck when they were delayed by a train. K-9 officers were called in to search for the suspects, but they remain on the run at this time.

More than $6,000 worth of stolen items were recovered.
