Witnesses described a wild scene in a cul de sac in Moore around 1:45 Wednesday afternoon.

A man was seriously injured after another man slammed into him with a car. But neighbors said there’s much more to it than that.

Neighbors said it began when a man, who lives with a family member in a rental home at 505 Cross Timbers Drive, came running out of the house with a bloodied mouth.

Kody Yarberry lives a few houses away, and said that neighbor told him he’d just been robbed, and to call police. Yarberry said two other men carrying duffel bags then came charging out the house, and ran down the street. The original victim, Yarberry said, got into a white Ford Taurus and sped away. That car struck a man a short time later barely a block away.

The man who was hit with the car has been identified as Alfredo Coderre. He is now at OU Medical Center with broken bones, and deep lacerations on his face.

The man who was driving the Taurus has been identified as 19-year-old Shahn Stella and has been taken into police custody. But police said Stella isn’t cooperating with investigators.

News 9 asked Kody Yarberry what he was thinking while all of this was unfolding. “Nuts. They’re nuts,” he said. “I just don’t know.”

Police Spokesman Jeremy Lewis said police are still trying to sort it all out.

As of Wednesday night, Stella faces charges of Assault with a Deadly Weapon, and Leaving the Scene of an Injury Accident.

Several neighbors told News 9 that the house where everything originated from Wednesday afternoon has been the center of a lot of activity on a daily basis, and at all hours of the night.
