OKLAHOMA CITY -

As president-elect Donald Trump continues to meet with a revolving door of potential cabinet picks in his New York office, Oklahomans are finding themselves among them.

Early this week Governor Mary Fallin met with Trump to discuss what she called a "wide range of issues."  She has emerged as a front runner for secretary of the interior.

“It was certainly a great honor to go to president elect trump's office to have a conversation with him and his chief of staff about Oklahoma and also issues facing our nation,” Fallin said Tuesday.

Continental Resources CEO Harold Hamm has also been floated as a potential secretary for the Departments of Energy or the Interior. Either position making environmentalists nervous after Hamm's history of advocating for more drilling on federal lands. However, Hamm says he's committed to his company.

“I've got a fulltime job at continental and that's what I'm going to be doing,” Hamm said in a previous satellite interview from New York.

Then there's former Senator Tom Coburn. He's been named an outside pick for the office of management and budget, the largest office in the executive branch.

There may also be some non-cabinet spots for folks like Former Oklahoma speaker of the house T.W. Shannon. Shannon was spotted meeting with Trump at a New Jersey golf course on Monday. He later said he was excited by the meeting and said Americans weren’t “settling for second best.”

Representative Mark-Wayne Mullin (R), who currently serves as Trump’s top advisor on Native American Affairs is potentially a pick to head the Bureau of Indian Affairs.

Oklahoma native Stephanie Milligan, Trump's former battle ground state political director could also be brought on, but it is unclear whether that will happen.
