Child Hit By Car Near Putnam City Elementary School

Emergency crews responded to the scene where a child was reportedly hit by a car near an elementary school in the Putnam City school district, Wednesday morning.

According to authorities, a child was hit by a car in front of Windsor Hills Elementary School, located at N. Ann Arbor and N.W. 29th. The child reportedly ran in front of the car.

The child has been transported to a nearby hospital in non-emergency condition. 

Steve Lindley, Communications Director with Putnam City Schools, confirmed with News 9 that the child attends second grade at the elementary school.
