Trial For Murder Of 16-Year-Old Piedmont Girl Begins Monday
OKLAHOMA CITY - A trial is expected to begin on Monday for one of two teens accused in the murder of 16-year-old Annie Hill.
Chloe Thomas is one of two teens charged with the crime. The other suspect, Chadd Raymond, accepted a plea deal in February of 2015 and is serving a 35-year prison sentence in exchange for his testimony.
Raymond testified both he and Thomas at first wanted to just rob Hill so they could get money to buy drugs. But that robbery went too far and led to them killing her instead.
Thomas' attorney says his client has always accepted responsibility for helping to hide the victim's body, but claims she did not play a role in the robbery or her death.
Thomas' trial is set to start Monday morning. She has pleaded not guilty to the one count of first degree murder.
