Police Investigate After Body Found Inside Vehicle On OU Campus

NORMAN, Oklahoma -

Police are investigating after a body was found inside a vehicle on the campus of University of Oklahoma in Norman, Friday morning.

According to OU Campus Police, the body was found inside a vehicle in the parking lot of Dale Hall, which is on the southwest corner of the campus.

Police confirmed that a dog was found alive inside the vehicle and is being taken care of. 

An OU official said they have identified the deceased person as a 51-year-old man from Lawton but are not releasing his name until family members are notified. The official said OU is not aware of any affiliation between the University and the deceased person.

UPDATE 11/14/16: The deceased has been identified as Russell Todd Daley.
