My 2 Cents: Obama Administration Confirms Health Care Premium Hikes

Buddy of mine bought a new truck a couple of years ago, bought the one with just the options he wanted. His payment was $500 a month. High, but he got just what he wanted.

Well, the bank just informed him his payment is jumping to $880 a month, because other truck owners can't afford to make their payments.  

Also, he doesn't get to keep the truck he picked out. It has too many bells and whistles. The bank is giving him a more basic model which, by the way cost more to maintain.

True story, including the dollar amounts.

Just change the word "truck" to "health insurance policy", and switch "bank" to "government."

My friend's health insurance for just himself, is jumping from $500 to $880 a month for one guy, and it's not nearly as good as the policy he had.

Donald Trump believes we need to blow it up and focus on health savings accounts, but Obamacare is going to be very difficult to unwind at this point.

The next enrollment period starts a week from Tuesday, the government confirms premiums will be going up an average of 25 percent. Maybe that's the November surprise.
