The big cold front continues south well into Texas, allowing high pressure to dominate weather going into the weekend.

If you’re heading out to any of the football games or going to be outside Friday evening, make sure you dress warmly as north winds will calm down and temperatures cool down quickly into the 50’s. Overnight, those temperatures fall into the 30’s and 40’s across the state for our chilliest morning since the start of May.

Heading into the weekend, we’re looking at wall to wall sunshine on Saturday. Light winds will increase slightly during the afternoon out of the southeast. High temperatures will be slightly below average in the lower to middle 70’s.

Saturday night and Sunday, a weak weather system slides in bringing us some mid and upper level clouds. These clouds along with a light south breeze, will keep overnight temperatures Saturday night warmer in the 40’s and 50’s.

On Sunday, you can expect a mixture of sun and clouds with a very slight chance of a showers across the northwestern parts of the state. Otherwise, it will still be very nice outside with a south breeze and highs in the middle 70’s.

High temperatures continue to warm up early next week as we continue to see dry weather and highs jumping into the 80’s.

Have a great weekend!
