A Guthrie man was arrested and is accused of breaking into two homes, assaulting one of the residents and then assaulting police officers.

Police said the whole thing happened after the suspect had taken mushrooms and possibly other drugs.

It started about 2 a.m. Tuesday when a woman living on the 700 block of East Vilas said she heard her front door shatter and 18-year-old Tru Javier Treyvon Johnson was standing there, seemingly scared and telling her to call police.

She called police alright and officers started their search.

Then dispatchers get another call and this time, it’s the suspect calling. He said he was hiding behind the Guthrie Junior High.

“Uh, I’m about get shot,” he said in the recording. “Hello?”

Police said they aren’t sure if he ever actually was at that location.

They do know just minutes later he got into another house a few blocks away on Harrison Street where Brandon Long was in bed.

“I mean here I am out of a dead sleep and somebody is pretty much on top of me,” Long explained.

Then he said they both started swinging at one point Johnson had him in a headlock.

“All I could do was fight for my life and that was it,” Long said.

Long got out of the house and a neighbor called for help.

“He just went in my neighbor’s house and like beat him or something,” the neighbor told the dispatcher.

Guthrie police officers and Logan County sheriff's deputies showed up and they said Johnson put up a fight with them too, and was combative at the scene.

Authorities said Johnson was pushing against the door to keep them out and was holding a hammer.

Once they finally got inside the home, he allegedly kicked and bit the officers before finally getting arrested. A deputy deployed a Taser on Johnson, but police said it did not seem to affect him.

“He said later after he kind of came out of it a little bit that he could hear everything the officers were saying, he just believed that he was in Hell or in Hades. So it must have been a pretty bad trip,” said Sgt. Jeremy Thorne with Guthrie police.

Court documents show he faces multiple counts of assault and battery on a police officer and two counts of first degree burglary, among other complaints.

He’s in the Logan County jail.
