OSU Issues Campus Warning As Police Search For Suspect In Attempted Sexual Assault

Officials with Oklahoma State University issued a Campus Warning as police search for a suspect in an attempted sexual assault early Friday morning.

According to OSU police, the incident happened outside Bennett Hall Friday morning. A female student reported she was walking outside the building at approximately 1:50 a.m. when a man wearing a ski mask approached her and pushed her against the side of the building. According to the victim, the suspect said he had a gun and made sexual comments.  

The victim said she was able to get away after the suspect became distracted by of a passing car, and she “kneed him in the groin." She stated she saw he was holding something in one of his hands but it did not appear to be a gun, according to OSU Police.

The suspect is described as a white male between 5 feet 8 inches and 6 feet tall, thinly built, wearing a ski mask, black sweatshirt and blue jeans. 

He was last seen running east from the southwest corner of Bennett Hall.
