Oklahoma City police are searching a home Thursday afternoon for evidence in connection to a missing person case.

According to police, officers are searching a home in the 7200 block of S. Post Road for evidence in connection to the disappearance of 55-year-old Stephen Hurder.

On August 15, police said Hurder’s mother reported him missing. The woman said the last time she or any family member had any contact with Hurder was on July 5, 2006. She said Hurder was living with his wife in the 7200 block of S. Post Road in Oklahoma City.

The woman stated when she was not able to contact Hurder, she went to his house. His wife told her that Hurder had a friend come pick him up, and he never returned.

Hurder’s wife reportedly said that Hurder’s car, wallet, dog and all of his personal belongings were still at the house.

Hurder’s mother told police she believes something has happened to him, because there is no way he would just leave all his personal belongings behind and have no contact with any family members.
