According to police, just before 11:30 p.m. officers responded to the report of a shooting at an apartment in the 400 block of N.E. 115th Street.

Police said one, possibly two suspects walked up to the victim’s apartment and knocked on the door. As the victim, later identified as 16-year-old Dazmeontae Sayles, was walking to the door, the suspects began shooting through the door and windows of the apartment.
