Enes Kanter Tweets New Name Idea For KD's Former Bricktown Restaurant

Posted: Updated:

It was announced yesterday that Kevin Durant's restaurant in Bricktown -- KD's Southern Cuisine -- would be shutting down and reopening under another name, and the news doesn't come as a surprise for most in OKC, seeing Durant's departure to the Warriors hasn't sat well with Thunder fans.

Since the restaurant isn't going away completely and will be renamed, some throughout the state have started thinking of potential new names for the restaurant, and one of those people is Thunder big man Enes Kanter.

The duo of Kanter and teammate Steven Adams won the heart's of Thunder fans this season by dominating the glass and developing a tough brand of basketball, and in return picked up the nickname "Stache Bros" once they both grew out fierce mustaches. The nickname caught on quickly, and Thunder fans even bought T-Shirts to identify themselves with the bruising big men.

As catchy as the name is, Kanter's restaurant name likely won't gain much traction with the people over at Hal Smith Restaurants, but hopefully that won't discourage Kanter from taking his entertaining thoughts to Twitter in the future.
