Police are hoping the public can help identify a man who robbed an Oklahoma City cab driver last week.

According to the report, the suspect called for a cab at the Madison Village apartments in SE OKC. The driver arrived and transported the suspect to a number of locations, including Penn Square Mall and the Belle Isle Walmart.

The final destination was at the Chaparral Townhouses near NE 13th St. and N. Walnut Ave. The total fare was about $81. The cab driver said the suspect asked her if she had change for a $100 bill. When the cab driver got the change, she said the suspect grabbed it from her hand and took off running to the northwest.

The suspect then called police, who started a report. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5’ 3” wearing an orange OSU hoodie and blue jeans. Surveillance footage at the Belle Isle Walmart captured an image of the man.

If you have any information about the case, you are asked to call Crime Stoppers at (405) 235-7300. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.
