A family near Mustang had to make a split second decision in the height of Tuesday night’s storms -- should they run outside to their shelter or stay inside their home on Sara Road and S.W. 59th Street?

Patsy Maloney and her family have lived there 12 years. After the storm, their two-story barn was leveled, and a 1967 Camaro being restored by her son took a direct hit.

Maloney and her family were listening to the news and heard the storm could be heading their way around 8 p.m. Tuesday. They had to decide if they should make the move to go outside to the cellar. They decided to stay inside their house instead.

"The timing would have been terrible we would have definitely been there. We would have been walking to the cellar when it happened," Maloney said.

Maloney, her husband, her two boys and her daughter are fine Wednesday morning. Their home does not appear to be damaged. Right now they are spending the day taking pictures for their insurance company and picking up what is left.
