You've likely already noticed the strong winds, mild temperatures, and humid conditions outside Sunday morning. These conditions are setting the stage for showers and thunderstorms Sunday afternoon and evening.
Most of the Sunday will be warm, windy, and humid as the dryline moves into western Oklahoma. Storms will begin developing around 4 p.m. in western/southwestern Oklahoma. They'll move northeast toward central Oklahoma. Storms will be isolated in nature and may pose a threat for large hail, damaging wind, and an isolated tornado.
While the tornado threat isn't high Sunday, the area shown on the Tornado Zone is where the parameters will be most favorable for development. The tornado threat will weaken later Sunday night as the cold front moves into northern Oklahoma and the storms form a line and move south.
News 9 will have the entire weather team, team of trackers, and SkyNews 9 ready to go Sunday afternoon! Stay tuned!
