Wind is the name of the game Sunday!
A wind advisory is in place from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. for central and northern Oklahoma Sunday. Wind gusts could reach up to 40 to 45 mph in the shaded counties.
The severe weather threat is low across far western Oklahoma Sunday afternoon. If a storm develops, wind gusts could reach 60 mph and quarter-size hail would be a threat.
Monday’s severe threat is also low, but if a storm develops along the dry-line it could be more robust with a potential of golf ball size hail. Wind gusts could also reach up to 70 mph and a tornado could develop.
Heavy rain and storms, with a lower severe threat, will take over Monday night through the day Tuesday. Highest rainfall totals will be across southeastern Oklahoma.
