A small earthquake rattled residents in Central Oklahoma Thursday afternoon.

The 3.0 magnitude earthquake struck at approximately 3:55 p.m. Its epicenter was located seven miles south, southwest of Guthrie, eight miles north of Edmond, and 21 miles north of Oklahoma City.

It was about four miles deep.

At this time, there are no reports of damages or injuries associated with the earthquake.

According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans. Damage is more likely with quakes at magnitudes 4.0 and higher.
