Woman Killed After Being Hit By Vehicle At Highway 81, I-40 In Canadian Co.

A woman was killed after being hit by a vehicle in Canadian County, Friday morning.

According to authorities, at about 6:15 a.m., crews responded to the crash on Highway 81 just north of Interstate 40, near Lucky Star Casino.

A woman in her late 30s or early 40s was walking home from the casino when she was hit by a vehicle. Authorities said because it was very dark outside at time of the crash, and the driver did not see the pedestrian.

The driver is not facing any charges at this time. 

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity has not been released.
