Wife Of Thunder Assistant Coach Dies After OKC Car Crash
OKLAHOMA CITY - Oklahoma City Thunder and USA Basketball assistant coach Monty Williams' wife, Ingrid Williams has passed away after a collision on Tuesday night.
The accident happened shortly before 8:10 p.m. Tuesday at 1700 S Western Ave., according to the Oklahoma City police. It was a two-car crash and one person was pronounced dead at the scene. Two people were taken to a hospital including Ingrid Williams, and the 44-year-old mother of five died at the hospital.

The Thunder released a statement on Ingrid's death:
“The Thunder organization has heavy hearts tonight with the news of Ingrid's passing. Words cannot adequately describe how deep our sorrow is for the loss of Monty’s wife. Our thoughts and prayers are with Monty and his family, and we will support him in every way possible. We know the entire community of Oklahoma City has them in their prayers.”
This is Monty's first year as an assistant for the Thunder, and he was previously the head coach of the New Orleans Pelicans.
