Posted: Updated:
LUTHER, Oklahoma -

First responders are on the scene of a crash involving an overturned semi on the westbound side of the Turner Turnpike, in between Luther and Wellston, Wednesday evening.

Emergency crews were called out to the scene near mile marker 152 on the turnpike.

There has been no official word on injuries. The driver of the semi was able to exit the vehicle under his own power. Initially News 9 heard a medical helicopter had been requested.

OHP has shut down the westbound side highway in the area while crews work the scene.  The cause of the crash has not yet been determined and the semi appears to be the only vehicle involved.
