Thousands Of Oklahomans Still Without Power

OKLAHOMA CITY -

Thousands of Oklahomans are still without power on Tuesday, after a winter storm swept across the state.

Another round of winter storm brought snow, ice and high winds to much of the state, knocking down power poles, causing outages across Oklahoma.

According to OG&E, as of Tuesday afternoon, more than 18,000 of its customers are without power.

Officials said they have restored power to approximately 60,000 customers since 6 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 26. Forty-four assessment teams are in the field assessing damage. An additional 50 assessment teams will arrive and start work on Tuesday.

OG&E officials said about 800 linemen will be working in the field on Tuesday. This includes 150 arriving from Tennessee.

No estimated time of restoration at this time. OG& E officials said they will know more as we complete assessments and crews continue restoration efforts. Check OG&E power outage here. 

According to Public Service Company of Oklahoma, more than 16,000 of its customers are still without power as of Tuesday afternoon. Check PSC power outage here.
