GAMEDAY PREVIEW: Thunder vs. Pistons

Posted: Updated:
OKLAHOMA CITY -

Oklahoma City will be looking to extend its three-game winning streak tonight as the Thunder (10-6) host the Pistons (8-7) at 7 p.m. inside the Chesapeake Energy Arena. Here are a couple of things to know about the matchup.

11/27/15: Reggie Jackson Talks Return To OKC

The return of Reggie

Former Thunder guard Reggie Jackson will be back in the Peake for the first time since he was traded to the Pistons at the deadline last season, in a deal where OKC received D.J. Augustin and Kyle Singler in return.

It was a dramatic time when the deal was made, due to the unhappiness by Jackson with his role on the team. Russell Westbrook didn’t like to hear Jackson’s complaints, and made that clear with some comments he made the day Jackson was traded.

“You have to determine that if somebody doesn’t want to be here then you can’t make them be here,” Westbrook said.

Westbrook then went on to say the Thunder still had a chance to win a championship with or without Jackson.

Plenty of Thunder fans will let Jackson hear it tonight as the arena will be filled with boos whenever he’s announced. It wouldn’t be surprising to see Jackson try to put on a show against his former team. So far this season he’s averaging 19.3 points per game to go with six assists and 4.2 rebounds.

Will the streak continue?

The Thunder have been playing their best basketball as of late, and tonight would be a solid win over an up and coming team. With Kevin Durant now healthy, it appears OKC is finally getting in a rhythm in Billy Donovan’s offensive system.
