A wet Thanksgiving with winter precipitation is possible this weekend.

A big storm system arrives on Thanksgiving, bringing heavy rain and a few thunderstorms to the state. Rainfall totals could reach 2 inches across the area.

A strong cold front arrives in northwest Oklahoma late Thanksgiving night into Black Friday morning, so some of the precipitation may turn into some freezing rain/sleet/snow in far northwestern Oklahoma. Most of the precipitation ends late Friday morning.

A second wave of precipitation arrives late Friday into Saturday morning. Cold air will be in place, so expect winter precipitation in western Oklahoma and, if temperatures are cold enough, here in central Oklahoma as well.

We're not expecting major travel problems in OKC, but there may be some in western Oklahoma.

Please stay tuned to our forecast as we'll be fine tuning it over the next couple of days.
