OKC Attorney Accused Of Engaging In Illicit Acts In Peru To Be In Court Thursday

An Oklahoma City attorney accused of traveling out of the country to have sex with children will be in court Thursday morning.

According to federal court documents, Michael Dean Billings and his attorney will participate in a change of plea hearing at the federal courthouse in Oklahoma City.

Billings' attorney, Danny White, said Billings will plea guilty to one count of illicit sexual conduct in foreign places with a person under 18.

In Oct. 2014, Billings was indicted on counts of conspiracy to commit sex trafficking of children, conspiracy to travel with intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct and conspiracy to engage in illicit sexual conduct in foreign places.

According to a federal court document filed on Nov. 5, the U.S. Attorney’s Office amended the counts against Billings to one count of engaging in illicit sexual conduct in foreign places.

Billings was originally accused of traveling to Iquitos, Peru, to have sex with children, according to court documents.

Billings told News 9 in 2014, he traveled there 30 times, but said it was just to go fishing.

White told News 9 Billings decided to "finally accept responsibility" and that "it was hell on his family and children."
