Chickasha Police Investigate Death Of Couple On Halloween

Police in Chickasha are investigating the death of a woman and man on Halloween.

The porch light is still on at 42 Hillcrest Drive in Chickasha, and the investigation is ongoing. Authorities are hesitant to give out details wouldn’t go on camera, and neither would neighbors.

However, News 9 talked to people who live nearby and learned the woman who lived at the home moved there several years ago, but her daughter Sheila Brownen and her daughter’s ex-husband Charles Brownen moved in to help care for the woman about six months ago.

On Saturday, the woman found the couple dead inside and called 911. Both had been shot. Sheila was in bed and still alive, but Charles was not. Officers found a handgun lying next to his body. Sheila was rushed to the hospital where she later died.

Right now, police say they are looking at all angles and haven't ruled anything out in their investigation. They say the medical examiner will determine the official causes of death.
