We’re looking at another beautiful fall evening across the area with just a few clouds moving in, light winds and temperatures fall into the 50s. So get outside and enjoy it as we’re looking at a chilly, soggy Friday ahead of us.

This will be caused by an area of low pressure that will spread a large area of rain and clouds across the state. Overnight the clouds begin to thicken up as some rain begins to enter the southwest part of the state.

By Friday morning, when the kids are at the bus stop, the rain will begin to become heavier across southwest Oklahoma with some light rain trying to move northeast into the metro. By Friday afternoon, rain and some storms, but nothing severe, sweeps across the rest of the state.

The heaviest rain will likely fall from OKC and south into the Dallas Fort Worth area, where over 2 or 3 inches could fall in places by Friday night. Temperatures will be chilly through the day with plenty of clouds and rain around with highs only in the 50s.

By Friday evening the rain starts to shove east across the eastern parts of the state, but some lingering light rain couldn’t be ruled out through the rest of the state. So Friday night football games will be a little wet and cold for most areas as it looks right now.

By Halloween day we start to see the rain come to an end with just some lingering showers for the far eastern parts of Oklahoma. Temperatures will warm up a little through the day with highs in the 60s with a few peaks of sunshine.

Don’t forget on Saturday, the News 9 weather team along with Jim Gardner with SkyNews 9 and our Storm Trackers will be at the National Weather Festival in Norman. It’s Free to the public and will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the National Weather Center.
