The Bethany community will hold a fundraiser for injured football player Hudson Haws this weekend.

Haws, a senior, was medi-flighted from the field after suffering three broken vertebrae while making a tackle in a game against Blanchard.  He currently remains in the hospital paralyzed from the waist down.

The fundraiser will take place Sunday, November 1, at Bethany High School. It’s sponsored by Swadley’s Bar-B-Q who will be in attendance from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., serving meals for $7.

All proceeds will benefit Hudson’s recovery.

If you are unable to attend the event, you can also make donations at the game Friday, November 6, in Bethany or via check to Bethany Public Schools by putting “Hudson Haws” in the memo section. There is also an account set up in Hudson’s name at GoMitchGo-bethanyok.com.
