BAKERSFIELD, California -

The massive clean-up effort continues on several major highways in southern California Saturday night after mudslides stranded and trapped hundreds of drivers.

This driver's cell phone captures the sudden terror as Thursday's cloudburst tuned a major highway into a swirling sea of mud and debris, lifting cars off the road. Officials say no one was injured or killed by the mud slides that trapped about 200 vehicles and the passengers inside.

In the aftermath of the mudslide, some 300,000 cubic yards of debris will have to be cleared. That's enough to fill 30,000 dump trucks.
