Police are investigating a carjacking that happened early Friday morning in northwest Oklahoma City.

According to police, it happened at about 5:10 a.m. at a 7-Eleven on N.W. 10th and May. The victims told officers they pulled into the gas station to get gas, and a Hispanic male suspect with multiple tattoos, wearing dark clothing, approached the vehicle and told the victims to get out of the car.

The victim said they thought it was a joke at first. But the suspect then said to them, “Get out of the car or I’m going to stab you,” and pulled out a knife.

The suspect reportedly allowed the victims to gather their belongings. He then got in the car and drove eastbound on N.W. 10th Street.

No one was injured during the incident. Police are working to obtain a surveillance video from the 7-Eleven store.
