OKLAHOMA CITY -

Not everyone was excited Trump was in town.

“Dream Act Oklahoma” held a peaceful demonstration, protesting what they call “hateful rhetoric”.

The closer to Trump’s event, the more the protest began to amp up. It’s not the number they expected but people said it’s not their numbers that matter but the message they’re bringing.

Most of the people were there in support of the Dream Act and immigration reform, but there were several Bernie Sanders supporters as well.

But for those that stood against Trump’s views on immigration, they said it’s also a message for Oklahoma lawmakers that had a hand in bringing Trump to the state fair this year.

They plan to send that message from the voting booth and Friday night they helped dozens register to vote. They continued to stand until Trump’s speech was over.
